Tourists stroll under the blazing sun in the Parc Asterix, which has maintained the obligation to wear a mask outdoors. REBECCA TOPAKIAN FOR “THE WORLD”
“Hide your water bottle, otherwise they’ll take it from you!” “ Having taken her daughter and now her grandchildren there, Bernadette Camus knows the tricks of entry control at La Mer de sable, a family amusement park in the forest of Ermenonville (Oise). But there is one thing she does not want to cheat on: the presentation of the health pass. “At least we are sure that infected people will not be present, rejoices the Casteltheodoricienne (from Chateau-Thierry, in the Aisne). Since the time, we had the choice to be vaccinated. Today, we must stop being stubborn! “
On Wednesday July 21, the leisure parks experienced the health pass and it was not the apocalypse. Customers continued to arrive and no one, neither at Parc Astérix nor at La Mer de Sable, both located in the Oise, caused a scandal.

Anna-Elsa and Meier, who came from Saint-Mandé (Val-de-Marne), were the first to be turned away from La Mer de sable. However, they had chosen this day of establishment of the health pass to visit the park with their three children, hoping to find fewer people there. Bad pickaxe: the crowd is there and their pass has beeped red. Anna-Elsa flogs herself: “We didn’t make our arrangements. I had my vaccine on Friday. “
The second dose, or single dose for former Covid-19 patients, like her, must have been taken at least seven days ago. The account is not there. “In addition, we were vaccinated to be able to go out. We were not for, says the young mother. Already yesterday I read about the vaccine and regretted having done it. Now we have to go to Trifouillis-les-oies to find a pharmacy and we are wasting time in the park… ”
A single couple “unaware”
Trifouillis is actually called Le Plessis-Belleville (Oise), and there is a pharmacy that performs antigen tests. It’s a good ten minutes by car, but the visitors to cross Wednesday morning were not discouraged. The spouse with the sanitary pass in order enters the park, the other is good for an in-depth visit of both nostrils.
At Parc Astérix, as at Disneyland Paris (Seine-et-Marne) or Puy-du-Fou (Vendée), a laboratory operates at the entrance to the park. But he did not make a fortune on Wednesday: barely thirty candidates for the test, billed 20 euros to the client and not to Medicare.

In the queue at La Mer de sable, we see more proof of vaccination than negative tests. The park is suitable for young children, so most adults are parents over 35 or grandparents, who have had plenty of time to get the vaccine. In the morning, a dozen families had encountered difficulties, out of 2,500 people who entered at 11 am, explains Bruno Lemaire, technical director of the site. Only a couple, “Who was not aware”, opposed to vaccination and refusing to be tested, asked for reimbursement. For now, the park refuses to do so.

Musk: Tesla and SpaceX continue to rely on Bitcoin

Thanks to Elon Musk, the recently badly shaken crypto market is happy about price increases. The tech billionaire reiterated his support for digital currencies at the industry conference “The B Word”.
New York. Tech billionaire Elon Musk has once again made clear his support for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
At the industry conference “The B Word”, the star entrepreneur affirmed that his electric car manufacturer Tesla remains open to Bitcoins despite environmental concerns due to the high power consumption. “Tesla will very likely accept Bitcoin again (as a means of payment),” said Musk. His space company SpaceX also owns Bitcoins and has no plans to sell them.
Musk emphasized, however, that the environmental balance of the oldest and best-known crypto currency had to get better – in the case of Bitcoin production called “mining” through complex computer processes, at least 50 percent of the electricity consumption should come from renewable energies. Musk made no secret of his sympathy for digital currencies at the conference, where other prominent crypto fans spoke to Twitter boss Jack Dorsey and Cathie Wood from Ark Invest. In addition to Bitcoins, he also holds Ethereum and Dogecoin privately.
The recently badly shaken crypto market reacted with strong price increases to Musk’s statements. Bitcoin, which fell below the $ 30,000 mark on Tuesday, shot up to $ 32,800 at times. The second largest cyber currencies Ethereum and Dogecoin also grew strongly. Musk has been chasing the prices up and down the market for a long time. In February he announced that Tesla had invested heavily in Bitcoin and would soon be accepting payments with it. He took the latter back a few months later because of environmental concerns, which put a heavy burden on the Bitcoin price.
Basically, Musk has always spoken out in favor of cryptocurrencies, and so now again. “I would like to see Bitcoin succeed,” said the Tesla boss. If the price falls, he will lose money too – since he has no intention of parting with his bitcoins. The discussion with Dorsey and Wood also looked at what supposed advantages cyber currencies could have for corporate cash management in general. The fact that Tesla has to pay negative interest on bank balances in Europe, for example, is driving him “crazy,” said Musk. The money should better be put in Bitcoin.

Home office and flexible working hours in the corona pandemic have triggered a change in awareness among companies in Germany. This emerges from a Prognos study that the ARD capital studio is exclusive.
By Birgit Schmeitzner, ARD capital studio
It works better without stress. But when daycare centers and schools have to close due to Corona and homeschooling meets home office, it can cause stress. A representative study by the economic research company Prognos on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs showed that problems of the employed parents in the companies could be solved with the help of good communication. In the course of the pandemic, it also became clearer to executives that a family-friendly personnel policy makes the company more productive and attractive. Federal Family Minister Christine Lambrecht sees great opportunities for the path to a modern world of work and warns at the same time: “We must not fall back into old patterns.”
Birgit Schmeitzner ARD capital studio
Individual solutions, not one template for everyone
The Prognos study shows: Many mothers and fathers (with children under 15 years of age) tried to talk to their superiors during the pandemic. 81 percent said that they received further help, and 30 percent are of the opinion that Corona has now improved the overall opportunity in their company to get family and work under one roof. According to Dagmar Weßler-Poßberg, who heads the social policy department at Prognos, communication is what counts. It is not the “finished catalog of measures” that leads to the greatest success for greater compatibility, but rather “the willingness to communicate openly on an equal footing”.
“My needs will be catered for”
One company that took part in the study is Fujitsu in Munich. The technology group, for example, has softened the core working hours. Business Development Manager Eva-Maria Zölfl sees her needs taken care of. She was in the home office and had more time at lunchtime for her children, for cooking together and doing homework. For the future, Zölfl would like to see hybrid work: two days from home and three days in the office. “That would be my favorite for the compatibility of family and work”, says the manager.
Compatibility as a productivity factor
According to the Prognos study, 88 percent of companies are satisfied with their decision to do more to achieve a better work-life balance. 65 percent of managers have become more aware that family awareness has a positive effect on productivity. In addition, according to Federal Family Minister Lambrecht, a company can only attract good, qualified specialists if they can “reconcile family and work” in their new job.
No loss of control noted
Home office and individually flexible working hours also mean that the “management through control” model no longer applies immediately. According to the Prognos researchers, this was not a problem. According to Weßler-Poßberg, the positive experiences predominate: “The majority say that neither productivity has suffered nor that they were suspicious.” The managing director of the Flensburg child and youth welfare service “Adelby 1”, Heiko Frost, says that the changeover during the crisis was “a tough task”, a learning process for everyone involved. It’s about not overwhelming anyone. Frost admits that he used to be critical of wishes after working days at home, but already with the thought: “I believe that this is the future and we have to deal with it.”
To the survey methodology
The representative study was carried out by Prognos AG (European Center for Economic Research and Strategy Consulting) in cooperation with the Allensbach Institute for Demoscopy. For the company’s perspective, HR managers were surveyed in two waves: in spring / summer 2020 in 750 telephone interviews, in spring 2021 there were 700 interviews.
The employed parents (with children under 15 years of age) were also asked twice, online: almost 1,500 surveys in 2020, a good 1,000 in the following year. In a second step, six companies from different industries and regions were examined more closely for case studies. Fujitsu and “Adelby 1” are among these companies that were interviewed in depth.
“The wheel can no longer be turned back”
The Prognos researchers have also taken a look into the future: 65 percent of the companies want to retain at least some of the more flexible working models after the end of the Corona crisis. “The wheel can no longer be turned back,” says Weßler-Poßberg, the pressure to act is simply too great for companies because the employees now know: “It works!” “Adelby 1” managing director Frost wants to be careful with the issue of compatibility in the future. Offer flexible working from home whenever possible. Because: “If you want, you should also like it.”

Prime Minister Boris Johnson chose the day before the truce of the British Parliament – and the day of the Belgian National Day – to signify in Brussels, Wednesday, July 21, that he wanted to renegotiate as a whole the very sensitive Northern Irish protocol.
Is the ultimate provocation before the summer break, a political gesture towards a loyalist community at bay or a real concern to improve a text deemed inadequate? “We will not accept a renegotiation of the protocol”, replied Maros Sefcovic, the vice-president of the European Commission, preferring not to immediately play the escalation.

The Northern Irish Protocol is a crucial part of the UK-European Union (EU) Divorce Treaty. Entered into force in early 2021, it governs the dual status of Northern Ireland, with the province still part of the United Kingdom, but remaining in the EU’s internal market for goods. The aim is to avoid the return of a land border with the Republic of Ireland and not to jeopardize the Good Friday Agreement, which ended the “unrest” in 1998.
The protocol had been validated by the Johnson government at the end of 2019, which, at the time, was pleased to have succeeded in reaching this agreement with the EU. But since the start of the year, London has been reluctant to apply the text and carry out the necessary customs controls for goods transiting from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.
A weak link between London and Belfast
Faced with British insistence, Brussels made concessions, still agreeing, at the end of June, to extend until the end of September the implementation of customs controls on prepared and minced meat. Not enough for Boris Johnson, who, in a report released on Wednesday, claims that“It is now clear that we cannot apply these provisions [douanières] in a sustainable way, at least not in the inflexible way the EU wants ”. The Prime Minister goes so far as to threaten to activate Article 16 of the protocol, allowing its unilateral suspension, if Brussels does not agree to rewrite the text …
Speaking in the House of Commons, Lord Frost, the minister responsible for Europe, added refusing to go “From period of grace to period of grace” and claimed a « pause » in the application of the protocol to allow time for renegotiation. London is demanding that customs controls be carried out only on products passing through Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland. And refuses that the Court of Justice of the EU still has a say in the governance of the protocol.

Scout LaRue Willis, one of the daughters of Demi Moore Y Bruce Willis, he turned 30, and his famous mother took to social networks to pay him an emotional tribute.
Through her account on Instagram, Demi Moore shared a couple of images of mother and daughter, and with them she wrote some moving words.
“You were already charting your own path when you decided to come into the world 3 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule 30 years ago. You are still acting bravely, thoughtfully and meaningfully in this life,” Moore began.
“I learn from you every day. I am inspired by you because I like you so much. And I am honored to be your mother. You make me excited to share this life with you. I love you madly!” Added the actress.
Demi concluded her message by commenting, “I can’t wait for the adventures of the next 30 monumental years, starting with the magic of today, your birthday. Happy 30th birthday, Scout LaRue Loving you to the moon.”
As expected, the reaction of his followers was not long in coming, and so far the post accumulates more than 118,000 likes and exceeds 1,000 comments, where fans of the celebrity joined in congratulating their daughter.
But in addition to the two snapshots, one in which they pose very smiling in bathing suits, and another that dates back to when Scout was just a baby, Demi Moore shared another cute image in the section of Stories.
It is a photograph of her daughter when she was newborn, accompanied by the following words: “Happy 30 years. I love you to the moon.”

Scout Willis has always been the less media daughter of the famous Moore-Willis marriage. Demi and Bruce were married for 13 years, and the result of this are their three daughters, Rumer, Scout y Tallulah.
While Rumer and Tallulah decided to dabble in acting, like their parents, Scout is much more low-key.
Family images abound on his Instagram account, as well as photos in which he appears with his partner, the rapper Jake Miller, with whom he has been dating for 5 years, and who, by the way, also used the networks to congratulate him on his birthday.
“Happy Birthday @scoutlaruewillis. You are a blast of greatness. I love you, “he wrote next to a photo of both of them, which has accumulated hundreds of ‘likes’ so far.

In particular your boss, Andrea Favale, that allow us to say that in 2021 an artist has to upload a piece every 10 days otherwise he will not keep up with the times.
I’ve always wanted to make music to be independent and do what I want, not to take orders from you who are the cancer of music. You censor Niko Pandetta that his mistakes have paid off and changed his mentality, while he has the same mentality that he has abandoned.
You forgot that in 2015, when no one had Spotify, I uploaded Oh Madonna to your platform while the others uploaded the songs are on YouTube. You want to be a mafia but no one is afraid of you, I don’t need to be a playlist to be an artist and the numbers on YT without promos prove it.
You are the death of freedom of expression and art. I know well that making war on you is equivalent to fighting windmills but I can’t keep myself inside the grudge I have for people who behave like you and in some way I have to eliminate it otherwise I poison myself. Remember that there is karma in life and everything comes back.“

The United States Senate refused, Wednesday, July 21, to begin at this stage the examination of a plan of investment in the infrastructures of 1,200 billion dollars (1,017 billion euros), central in the Joe Biden’s strategy, who despite everything was optimistic about the rest of the parliamentary procedure.
Republican elected officials, who have a blocking minority, opposed the opening of parliamentary debates during the first test for this gigantic plan, very dear to the Democratic president.
Almost a month ago, the Democratic President announced that he had come to an agreement with elected officials from both parties to invest this considerable sum over eight years, in roads, airports, water networks or the Internet at broadband.

“We need more time”
Traveling to Cincinnati on Wednesday, a city in Ohio, in the northeast of the United States, Joe Biden made a point of reminding the opposition politicians of this informal agreement: “I come from a tradition (…) where, when we shake hands, that’s it, we keep our word “, he said.
” Yes ! “, he replied to a CNN journalist who questioned him during a public debate to find out if he believed in a positive vote next Monday to open the debates on the details of his plan. “And we’ll fix your damn bridge!” “, he said with laughter and applause. He was referring to an infrastructure very close to Cincinnati, the Brent Spence Bridge, whose renovation has been discussed for years, and which is considered an emblem of aging American infrastructure.
The Democratic leader of the Senate, Chuck Schumer, had wanted to start parliamentary work on Wednesday. But the Republicans considered the move hasty. “We need more time”, explained Senator Todd Young. Discussions stumble on the means to finance these expenses, the Republicans having rejected a device which would have strengthened the fight against tax evasion.

Even if the vote failed, the text should survive. The 22 negotiators of the two parties assured in a press release that they “Made significant progress and be ready for an agreement”. One of them, the moderate Republican Mitt Romney even mentioned the date of next Monday for the conclusion of their work.
Green energies, health or education
Beyond infrastructure “Classics”, for which he is more likely to secure Republican votes, President Joe Biden wants massive investments in green energy, health or education.
Due to Republicans’ opposition to further spending in these areas, Democrats are prepared to move forward on their own on a parallel plan, currently valued at $ 3.5 trillion. To do this, they intend to use a procedure specific to budget bills, which makes it possible to reduce to 50 out of 100 the number of votes necessary to adopt a text in the Senate (against 60 otherwise).
However, they will not be able to afford a single defection, which remains uncertain given the different sensitivities present in their ranks. “We don’t have a lot of levers”, recognized Senator Bernie Sanders, figure of the American left. “We cannot afford not to make these investments”, however stressed Friday Joe Biden during a trip to Congress.

The Minister of Solidarity and Health, Olivier Véran, speaks at the National Assembly on July 21, 2021. JULIEN MUGUET FOR “THE WORLD”
Another 900 amendments, oppositions that do not let go, a majority crossed by questions: the National Assembly must resume, Thursday, July 22, the examination of the bill extending the health pass, after the first often electrical exchanges until late Wednesday.
“Let us move forward, please”, has repeatedly pleaded the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, while the bill requires express adoption by the end of the weekend in the face of pressure from the Delta variant of Covid-19.
Of the 1,000 amendments tabled, only around 100 were considered in the evening. The agenda has been changed to resume debate all day Thursday, delaying the shuttle to the Senate.

Between invectives and reminders of the rules, the only modification validated Wednesday evening was to specify that the health pass for international travel will only be requested over 12 years old.
“Many no longer understand anything”
In a well-stocked Chamber, the oppositions blew hot and cold, some asking to go further in the restrictions on movement in particular, when others wanted to loosen the noose.
Strongly contested by a section of public opinion, the bill reflects the announcements of July 12 by Emmanuel Macron, from the vaccination obligation for caregivers to the health pass (proving complete vaccination, a recent negative test or immunization ) for access to cafes, restaurants and trains from the beginning of August.
Point : Health pass: where will it be required from July 21? Which tests will be accepted? The questions posed by its extension
Amendments to delete Article 1is – key – were rejected, just like proposals, coming from all sides, to reduce the extension of the exit regime from the health emergency and thus allow a new meeting in Parliament.
The oppositions castigated “Appalling conditions [d’examen] for a sensitive text “. “Take your time, the virus will not wait”, joked the reporter La République en Marche (LRM) Jean-Pierre Pont.
“I don’t like the sanitary pass tool” more “To govern is to choose”, and “That is courage in politics, it is not to make debates last”, tackled Mr. Véran, under accusations of lack of doses or contradictions on barrier gestures.
But the questions also came from the majority. “Today, the messages are misguided and many no longer understand anything”, reported Christophe Blanchet (MoDem), in reference to the idea that the pass could make the mask fall.

Targeted anti-vaccines
The temperature rose during the speeches of Martine Wonner, the elected covidosceptic who had urged the protesters against the health pass, on Saturday in Paris, in “Make the seat of parliamentarians”. Parades took place again Wednesday in several cities, including in Paris, near the Palais Bourbon.
At the opening, Olivier Véran had targeted anti-vaccines with ferocity, while Covid-19 contaminations reached 21,000 in the last twenty-four hours. “Sheep are not what you think”, said the minister, who paid tribute to the “Country that stands firm”, with the majority of French people who “Don’t shout”.
In committee, the previous night, the deputies had already postponed the health pass for 12-17 year olds to the end of September. The government had already exempted this age category until August 30. The vaccination obligation extended to caregivers, firefighters or professionals working with the elderly is widely supported, except for the extreme right and the extreme left.
Disagreements on the extension of the sanitary pass
It is on the extension of the sanitary pass that right and left have reserved their banderillas. The National Commission for Informatics and Freedoms (Cnil) has just asked Parliament to “Circumscribe” the new device.
The deputies The Republicans (LR) are calling for the “Flexibility”, with reduced fines and a waiver for those who received a first dose of vaccine – proposal rejected, Mr. Véran indicating that a single dose leads to a risk reduction of only 30%. The Socialists reject the pass and prefer a “Compulsory vaccination” adults against Covid-19 “From here to 1is October “.
In session, Marine Le Pen (National Rally, RN) joked about the government’s promises two months ago, which, “On all tones, had said that he would not extend the health pass to daily activities”. Communists and “rebels” move towards a global vote against the bill, rejecting “Reached” to individual freedoms.
On the majority side, most of the initial reservations about the past have been swept away by the presidential announcements and the government’s demining. But the question of compulsory isolation for the sick goes badly with some LRMs and some rebels have given voice. The government has also promised amendments to avoid loss of income for lone workers due to their contamination.
The debates on the health pass are delaying the adoption of the text against “separatism”. The final adoption of the bill against separatism, which was scheduled for Thursday, July 22 in the National Assembly, was postponed until Friday in view of the large number of amendments still to be considered on the controversial bill extending the health pass . While there still remained to be debated some 900 amendments to the bill for the management of the health crisis, the chairman, David Habib (Socialist Party), indicated at midnight on the night of Wednesday to Thursday that the order of day was rearranged, via a letter from the Minister of Relations with Parliament. Thus, the deputies will resume Thursday, for the whole day, this text. The final adoption of the “prevention of acts of terrorism and intelligence” bill, initially scheduled for the morning, will take place at 3 pm. The final validation of the bill against separatism, but also that of the regulation of the budget and again of a bill on the prevention of health at work, are postponed to Friday. The Senate, which was to begin the first reading of the Covid-19 bill on Thursday, will also be forced to review its menu, the text to be definitively approved by the end of the weekend.

Anya Taylor-Joy has updated fans on the situation of Angry, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road.
The star of Lady’s gambit (Here’s the ending to the Netflix series) is poised to play the youngest incarnation of the Charlize Theron character from the hit 2015 movie.
However, the actress has confirmed that filming has not started yet, confessing in an interview with Josh O’Connor, from The Crown, who plans to take time off for the next several months before going back to work.

“I have a grace period until August, and then I will be working consecutively until mid-2023,” he said in the chat of Variety.
Taylor-Joy continued to express her excitement about working on Angry and collaborate with director George Miller.
“What excites me the most about Furiosa is George Miller to begin with,” she said. “That brain is amazing. I am also very excited to do something physical. To become physically something else is something that will strangely give me a lot of peace.”
Warner Bros Pictures
The actress will be accompanied by the actor from Watchmen (What do you need to know to understand the HBO series?) Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Marvel star Chris Hemsworth in the prequel, the latter recently admitted that making the film was a dream come true for him.
“It is a great honor,” he said. “A lot of pressure, but an exciting pressure that is certainly motivating.
“It really is, of everything I have done, the greatest moment of emotion, because I have grown up watching it and it is something iconic.”

Miller also said, “I didn’t set out to make a big, epic movie. It’s a story I wanted to tell, but it just happens to have a ton of different scenes.”
“The only thing I can say about it is that Mad Max: Fury Road… is that everything that happens inside the movie happened during three days and two nights. This is a saga, it happens over many years. So there are a lot of different elements. “
Angry It will premiere on June 23, 2023.
