Since 2018, they have already rubbed shoulders with the hotel industry, the police, or the army … This time, the “Tourists” from Arthur’s show, on TF1, go find out the world of agriculture. And the shooting took place last April, at the agricultural school of Contamine-sur-Arve (Haute-Savoie).
The principle of the program is the meeting between six celebrities and a professional universe specific, for several days. They compete in several “trials” to determine who, among them, is the smartest in this profession. This Friday July 9, at 9 p.m., it is Miss France Iris Mittenaere, and comedians Virginie Hocq Booder, Ahmed Sylla, Cartman and Florent Peyre that you will see on the screen.
“A clash of cultures”
The director of the agricultural school of Contamine-sur-Arve, Matthieu Prévost, who also appears in the show, tells News Haute-Savoie how much this meeting with the world of television was original but pleasant, in his eyes: “It was a very positive experience. The “Tourists” were very curious and asked us a lot of questions. Our young people were impressed to meet these celebrities, but also proud to see this positive outlook on their work. And then there really was very nice encounters, as with Camille, one of our students. The sequence was even integrated into the editing, which was not at all planned at the start. ”
“They discovered the technicality, complexity and diversity of our training courses, and more generally of the agricultural professions. They were able to discuss with various players in the sector, even those who do not usually work on site, such as those in the professions. of transformation. “
But the discovery was also for the young people and the staff of the school. “We were mobilized a lot, it was a real shock of cultures, for us too. Everyone participated: teachers, students, maintenance and catering staff, administration… ”, explains Matthieu Prévost.
It must be said that during the filming in April 2021, during the school holidays, it is a team of 50 people who settled in the establishment and his boarding school. A forty young people was present, and they were even able to help the teams with the decor or the lighting.
An opportunity to address the public
And yet, this entertainment program, the headteacher had never heard of it a few months ago. He was contacted in February 2021, after the production team stumbled upon the establishment’s presentation video. “We quickly accepted, because they had a very positive approach vis-à-vis the school, our young people, and the agricultural community. “
And after being able to see the program in preview, Matthieu Prévost said that he was not disappointed with this collaboration: “It captures the reality of our businesses. Former author? composer? interpreter, Michel Demorest has written nearly 400 songs, which sleep in a closet. “I had my little hour of glory,” he smiles. In 1973, this guitar player took part in an entertainment program, “Par la grande porte”, broadcast on the 3rd channel of ORTF, where young talents are revealed.
He could have made a career in song
He also carefully keeps the page of the magazine TV 7 days from the time when his photo appears next to that of Marie-Paule Belle. But it is not in music that this admirer of Brassens, Ferrat and Brel will make a career. And fame will not be for him. “I did not want a life of hardship intermittent in the show and I moved on,” says the artist who, after having been responsible for sales in electronic components, embarked on the development of genealogical software.
The taste for writing does not leave him and in 2015, “it is the big turning point”. Michel Demorest imagines marry poetry and history in tasty « revisitations ». “These are biographies in verse, it’s something that did not exist,” he emphasizes. The poet revisits the lives of artists, famous women, statesmen …
“I started by writing a couple of, and then people around me thought it was great, so I continued. “
In all, five collections have already been published by Edlivres, an alternative publishing house that brings together more than 30,000 authors. “I chose the most complicated angle of the poetry, like the figures imposed in gymnastics, but that forces me to stay within the framework”, confides Michel Demorest.
This framework is 8 or 12 foot free worms. Each quatrain is a small skit. The author makes sure that the first and last lines are “strong”, trying to conclude with a powerful message. “I do not lie at any time for rhyme, 99% of what is written is real,” he says. But when rhyme becomes difficult, I can benefit from the poetic license (the permission given by the poet to change the pronunciation, or even the spelling of a word). “
This lover of contrepèteries also handles humor through versified biographies. But he never takes a position, especially vis-à-vis the controversial characters he portrays.
“I feel useful in what I do”
Michel Demorest writes at the rate of a revisit every three or four days, drawing biographical elements on the internet. When he is not sitting behind his computer, this follower of Verlaine and Rimbaud composes his stanzas while walking, by recording vocally on his cell phone, on which he has downloaded dictionaries of rhymes and synonyms. “I prepare my trips as if I were going fishing,” he laughs. The small wooded paths very close to his home offer him the ideal conditions to carry on his inspiration.
From Alexandre Dumas to Voltaire, from Adolphe Thiers to Victor de Broglie, from Agatha Christie to Yvette Horner, Michel Demorest is already at 450 revisits. “I’ve found my way, I know I’m a good one,” he said without false modesty. Jack Foley, 24, of Egham, Surrey, denied plotting to rob with Glynne, Murray, Perry Ogle, 23, of Hounslow, and Alfie Chandler, 18, of Hounslow, who did not plead.
Tommy Hutchinson, 18, of Feltham, and Vinothkumar Ratnam, 37, of Egham, Surrey, also appeared in court today.
The five men are said to have conspired to steal 11 electric bikes from Velospeed, Thatcham, Berkshire, between June 14 and 17 of this year.
Judge Sarah Plaschkes QC has set a date for the trial for January 4 of next year.
She remanded Glynne and Murray on remand, while the other defendants were released on bail before a new plea hearing on September 1.
